Dr Christie Smith is an expert in leadership, strategy, and the future of work. A sought-after thought leader, she has spoken at major conference events and featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Fortune, Forbes and CNN. She has won several awards and has been recognized as a leader in Fast Company’s Queer 50 list (2023 and 2021), an Outstanding LGBT+ Executive Role Model (2022), and a Top 50 Diversity Leader (2020).

Dr. Smith is currently a Senior Partner at Modern Solutions where she is responsible for other client portfolio and client engagement. Christie was formerly global lead for Talent & Organization at Accenture and a member of the company’s global management committee. Prior to that, she was global vice president for Inclusion & Diversity at Apple. She also served as interim CHRO at Grail, a start-up cancer detection company, and was global human capital leader at Deloitte Consulting.

Christie received her doctorate in clinical social work with a focus on industrial and organizational psychology from New York University.

She lives in Seattle, Washington, with her wife and their two children.
